- Robot-assisted Ivor Lewis esophagectomy with intrathoracic esophago-gastric anastomosis
- Anastomotic leakage treated with VAC-Stent
13days post-surgery

- Endoscopy
Small defect of 6mm in diameter on circular anastomosis, no evident mediastinal cavity. Drainage of considerable amount of fluid from defect.
Treatment with VAC-Stent was initiated
- Treatment duration: 7 days
- VAC-Stent cycles: 1
- Vacuum settings: -125mmHg on day of placement and -75mmHg from the next day on
- During treatment, the patient had a full liquid diet
Small remaining ulcus after 7 days of treatment with VAC-Stent.
